Happy Days

Well, Miss Evelyn celebrated her half-birthday yesterday! We had cake, courtesy of a class we hosted the day before, and she had presents of two clutching/rattling toys and a book called The Pout-Pout Fish, which I highly recommend for the preschool/toddler set. Actually, we all love it, and chants of “I’m a pout-pout fish, with a pout-pout face, and I spread the dreary-wearies all over the place” are heard at random intervals throughout the day.

We’re in the full swing of late summer, planning for school, prepping for winter, and making the most of the rare days we’re all together.Ā  We’re waiting on one more calf, suddenly getting calls for cow shares just when we need them (Thank you, Lord!) and trying to cook without getting hot. (That last is a bit of a challenge.)

Time marches on.

I like to plan things to take pictures of, so it doesn’t slip away entirely. šŸ™‚

  1. Pretty, pretty girls! Thanks for sharing. šŸ˜‰

  2. It is possible for Evie to be more beautiful with each passing day?
She is an adorable and gorgeous little baby. (Little? – She looks pretty big to me).
My grandma heart wants to hold her so much – since I can’t be there, would you mind
terribly if I ask you to hug and kiss her for me?
Delaney is beautiful. You could hug and kiss her for me too – and tell them all that I love them
and think of them every single day!
